How Important Is Stretching?

Stretching for at least 5 minutes before and/or after every work out is super important and here’s why;

  1. Aids in preventing injury – stretching improves mobility in the joints, allowing us to move more freely during exercise, helping prevent injury and joint pain.
  2. Improves circulation – stretching increases blood flow to the muscles which in turn improves circulation. Improved circulation aids the body in recovery after exercise.
  3. Relieves stress – anything we can do to reduce stress levels in today’s busy lifestyle is a no brainer! Stretching calms the mind and helps to unwind, reducing unwanted tensions that have built up in the body.

So don’t forget to stretch before and/or after your workouts to make sure you receive the amazing benefits that stretching has to offer.
